Quantifying Scapular Dyskinesis Using Virtual Moiré Topography

The global objective of our research is to develop strategies to improve clinical outcomes following shoulder injury and following surgical and non-surgical treatments for shoulder injury. Previous work has demonstrated a relationship between abnormal shoulder motion and shoulder injury. We have developed a quantitative, cost-effective, and bedside approach to measure shoulder motion. Under the guidance of Dr. Katherine Reuther in the Biomedical Engineering Department, our goal is to understand the mechanical mechanisms of shoulder injury and repair.
